I managed my fifth straight day of solid working out.  Today was a chest centric day.

YW: AMRAP 10 minutes - 10 chest contractions, 10 marine pushups - 14 rounds + 2 contractions.  Then AMRAP 15 minutes - row 15 calories, 15 dips - 10 rounds + 8 calories.

There is a lot of fatigue but I am getting good results.

Today I sold my stake in ASZ, which has doubled in the two years since I bought in.  In truth, I sold it by accident.  I put out a sell order yesterday in the event that the market rebounded unexpectedly and was going to re-evaluate this morning.  I was going to remove it but it was still in effect so the stock sold, though not at the price I could have gotten had I amended it.  It will pay off a fair amount of my margin loan, and I might get back in if the market falls again, which I think is quite likely.  I also got deeper into AUT.  I am willing to sell this recently acquired stake if there is a surge and I considered doing so today.  I am really getting into my stocks now, and it looks like I will have a lot ot keep me occupied now that I am willing to sell again.  I hope my trading is able to remain un-emotional.

This evening I went to an information evening with the Gungahlin Rurall Fire Service and it went quite well all things considered.  They are housed in a multipurpose building that is also home to the regular fire brigade, the ambulance station, and the police.  It's a pretty good set up.  They even have a gym which I would be able to use 24/7 (but which I would only really use when on "stand up".)  During the bushfire season I would be called upon to be on hand at the station ready to be deployed to fires.  When I realised that, I grinned.  I also grinned when I heard about some of the training.  In addition to training in first aid and CPR, they might also train me to use a chainsaw, and if I go on to more advanced levels, they might train me to be able to get to remote fires where I would fly in on a helicopter.  Next to that RAFF (Remote Area Fire Fighter) training course I jotted down the words "OH YEAH!"

To be honest, as I was being shown aroud the station I couldn't help thinking "cool" when looking at their equipment.

There were other potential recruits there, two of whom seemed fine by me, one of whom kind of annoyed me by asking irrelevant questions, a woman who was interrupting by making pointless jokes, and a guy who was probably in his 70s.  I was interested in the physical/practical side of things, not so much in the joking or the chit chat.

So it looks as though fairly soon I will be a firefighter in time for the coming fire season.
