How would you react if I said that?

I was in a Senate inquiry this afternoon and the Chair of the Committee said to a witness "Now I'm not going to tell you to suck eggs."  Apparently that is still considered parliamentary language.  Oh Senator Sterle, what are we going to do with you?

There will be no trip to Sydney this weekend.  After a long week and with another long week ahead, driving to Sydney and back was going to be a few hours of concentrating that I don't need.  And my game with the Wombats is off anyway.  That means I may pop by the annual party council (still not as cool as you imagine it to be minxyminou .)  It won't bother me.  I made my stand that I don't have to go, so now I can if I feel so inclined.  (There will be people there who I don't get to see often, but I don't have to stay to deal with stabby people.)
