It's the weekend

Actually it's not, but after the Thursday of a sitting week it certainly feels like it. After a sitting week, Friday feels like a day off by comparison.
I actually enjoyed question time today because there was a real direction and purpose to the questions rather than mock outrage and speechifying.
WT and I got a briefing from a guy who had BO. As it turns out he has been unemployed for 13 years and has no qualifications in the field in which he was briefing us. WT was getting a bit fidgety but still let the meeting go on for an hour.
There was a run today with the work running group and I even managed to convince one runner to attempt an assisted pull up when we passed the bar. She made it.
TW: 20 60kg squats, 30 pushups. 50 bicep curls
Kat is making arrangements to fill our soon to be vacant room. People are coming over on Saturday. She asked what I was planning to do during the election campaign. I will be sent somewhere and I wondered if she thought I was temporarily but officially moving out. As it turns out she thinks there may be the perception of a conflict of interest because I share a house with people in the civil service. I can't see how. Wouldn't that mean I couldn't have any contact with anyone the least bit involved in government?

Date: 2010-02-13 07:45 am (UTC)If something was leaked from their department and it became an issue in an election campaign they would be looking for any possible connection. So as far as I'm concerned, it's up to them to be careful about what they tal about, around me or around anyone else. The alternate solution of me living in an isolated cell is not one I am willing to consider.
