The Wombat game went well.  We won five tries to one, and one of them was mine.  I nearly got my first ever points from something other than a try when I went to drop kick the conversion but it went under the bar.  There's a reason I don't often kick.  (And that reason is why I keep my forward cred, bakerypenguin.)  In the end I was happy to have gone.  These guys are gearing up for the next world cup in New Zealand next year, which doesn't excite me as much as the prospect of playing with the Convicts on their next tour.  I guess that means the Convicts are my real team.

I'm now back in Canberra and have the next two days to recover before being back at work.  My ankle is a bit sore but I think I will do non ankle things at the gym tomorrow.  Also, I have a strange scratch on my chest and no idea how it got there.

Also we all drank homemade rum before kickoff.  Apparently it's a Penguin Tradition.

Also the Penguins gave us all ties.

Also I made it to the end of the day without finding out the Collingwood/St Kilda score.  The Grand Final has been played and I have no idea who won.

Well I can't really claim this one all that much. No impressive runs through half a dozen opponents. No fancy footwork. All I had to do was catch the ball and not fall over.
